In the spirit of helping our artists create healthy, sustainable, professional lives in the arts, we’re excited to partner with The Field to share two great workshops on financial planning and homeownership for artists - presented by Brunch & Budget! Become a member of The Field and the workshop is free!

As someone who wants to dive into a career doing creative work, money can feel like a dirty word. You don't ever want to feel like you're selling out, but you still need to pay the bills and take care of yourself. We hear you. Here's the exciting and scary part: now is the best time ever to be an artist entrepreneur. There are no more gatekeepers. You can turn your creative work into your business and livelihood. In this workshop, we'll show you how. You will learn how to:

  • Brainstorm multiple income streams using your skills and talents - and applying them to different industries
  • Put together 12-month cash flow projections to create and track income goals so you can monitor your progress and manage inconsistent income
  • Set up your creative work as a business and develop creative entrepreneur mindset
  • Set up the right business structure, business bank accounts, and tax & accounting systems
  • Think through putting together your own "benefits package" including health insurance, life insurance, and retirement plan

Registration closes at 1:00 PM EST on the day of the event.
