In this event, Hindustani classical vocalist Samarth Nagarkar will demonstrate how traditional compositions, known as banishes or khayals, are tools to decipher and understand a Raga comprehensively. Participants of all levels are welcome. Some prior exposure to or understanding of raga music is ideal. Being an interactive workshop, participants are invited to take active part by singing and/or asking questions.
