Percussionist, composer, improviser, and longtime Brooklyn Raga Massive collaborator Dan Kurfirst presents an evening of music celebrating the release of his latest album, Arkinetics. Joined by Roshni Samlal on tabla, Damon Banks on bass, Daniel Carter on reeds and trumpet, and Alexis Marcelo on piano, Kurfirst will premiere the new album that Relix Magazine has called “a luminescent gem of a jazz album” with “some of the sweetest sonic architectonics around.” Violinist and Brooklyn Raga Massive Co-Artistic Director Arun Ramamurthy will present a set of classical Carnatic music to begin the evening. Doors at 6pm, show at 7pm.
