Ensemble: Galen Passe - Sitar Roshni Samlal - Tabla

Description: Roshni and Galen will perform a full-length presentation of an evening raga. This will be complete with the traditional alap and jor on sitar, followed by vilambit and drut gats and jhalla with percussion.

Join us for an evening of Hindustani classical music: India’s melodic form of ecstatic meditation. Sitarist and composer Galen Passen is originally from upstate NY but lived in New Delhi, India for many years where he trained intensively in the study of Hindustani music under his Guru Gopal Krishan Shah.
