Novice and experienced listeners alike will gain a new appreciation for this rich art form as we decipher the fundamental components of North Indian classical music. After Samarth's talk, join us for two incredible, classical sets featuring Sanatan Goswami on Swartarang and Harmonium, followed by Abir Hussain on Sarod.

Through the past fifteen years and counting, guidance of Shri Ashoke Paul has enabled Mir to learn the technical and aesthetical aspects of Tabla playing. He also have learnt from Pt Gopal Mishra and Pt Suresh Talwalkar. At present, Mir is taking talim from Pandit Anindo Chatterjee.

ABIR HUSSAIN (Sarod) is fast becoming a force to reckon with in the Hindustani classical concert circle. Hussain was initiated into learning the instrument by Pandit Buddhadev Dasgupta, a stalwart of the Senia Shahjahanpur gharana. Now in his 30s, Hussain is a member of the Hindustani instrumental music faculty at ITC Sangeet Research Academy.

EHREN HANSON is a prime disciple of the lauded tabla maestro Pt. Anindo Chatterjee, and has been performing with accomplished artists all over the east coast.
